i have an 87 corvette and my headlight motor on the drivers side jus burned out and i am waiting to purchase a new one until i can figure out how to remove the motor from the headlight assembly i have searched several books and tried searching the internet to no avail i need help!!
Those motors are frightfully expensive. Try and take it apart. The gears are easy to replace. As old as it is it may be full of worn out brush. Brushes can wear down to the point they won't make good contact. Just bending the springs out may get it to work.
I have been looking for brushes for the early motors for a couple of years and haven't found them yet. If anyone knows a source for just the brushes for the early headlight motors can you post it?
