Easiest to remove whole unit from car
Disconnect wires , remove bolts holding alum frame to hood , take out.
See

Undo the 13mm nut on the shaft to headlight bucket , undo 3 x 10mm bolts holding motor to frame.

Those motors are frightfully expensive. Try and take it apart. The gears are easy to replace. As old as it is it may be full of worn out brush. Brushes can wear down to the point they won't make good contact. Just bending the springs out may get it to work.
I have been looking for brushes for the early motors for a couple of years and haven't found them yet. If anyone knows a source for just the brushes for the early headlight motors can you post it?
