Spare tire delete...brace?
Hi everyone, I took out my spare and jack and am seeing posts about a bar/brace that goes in its place. Can someone plese fill me in on this. What is it, where does it go, where do I get one, etc. Thanks a lot.

On a Corvette, the spare tire and carrier is part of the rear collision safety system. If you remove it and get banged in the rear, the spare is supposed to give some semblance of safety. From what I understand, it bolts up where you removed the spare, and is supposed to crush on impact and slow down the intruder. Yes, a GP (Group Purchase) is supposed to be discounted for parts or shipping charges.
