Ride Control Question
I just got my ride control working. The service light is now out
. But my question is how do you know that it is working. How much do you feel a difference in the setting?

The controller for the Selective Ride Control System uses signals from the wheel VSS (vehicle speed sensor) to make fine adjustments in the shock settings. The console switch has the three basic settings and the controller makes changes for each setting. The controller sends a signal to each actuator that causes the shock rod to turn very slightly.
These fine adjustments do overlap. For example, the shocks are actually stiffer in Tour mode at 70 MPH than in the Performance mode at 25 MPH.
You can easily tell the difference in the three switch setting while driving on the freeway if the pavement is concrete and has expansion strips. In Tour mode, you should not feel them or hear a noise when the tires roll over them. Switch to Performance mode and you will feel the strips and hear a bumping sound.

Between 90 and 95, FX3 was available by itself but it came with base springs.
Even with Z07, FX3 will still adjust based on speed in any of the selector switch positions.
