Default SES/ASR lights

I posted the other day that my SES light and service ASR light came on. Well it went away and and was driving fine after that, but it came back and I pulled the codes. 1. C41 H41 --- 4. ERR 9. H72 ---, can anybody help my figure out what I need to check.

What year is your car? Codes 41 and 72 together might be a short in the circuit to the ebcm. You need a manual to follow the diagnostic procedure.

Reccommend you buy a '93 Factory Service Manual. The dealers can't diagnose specific problems like yours without one, and you likely can't either. There are people on the forum who are quite knowledgeable, and they can offer suggestions, but in the end you need to follow a logical progression of tests, etc. and that sort of thing is all laid out in the FSM. Bear in mind that your car is almost old enough to vote, and other issues may well crop up from time to time. You can find a manual in print or disc format on ebay, from Helm, maybe on this forum. It would be a wise investment. If you have that as a guide, there are forum members who can supplement it.
