EGR tube sensor?
I finally got my 86 back together after stripping and painting valve covers and changing the gaskets. What a PITA. as usual, I had other problems like the crimp ring on the egr tube. I ended up cutting off the crimp piece and I used a hose clamp which I put on across where the 2 tubes meet. seems to be working. I broke off the sensor wire that is connected to the egr tube and I can't see where it goes. There is a big wire harness on the fire wall, I don't know if it goes somewhere in there. Does anyone know? Also, can I just block off the entire egr system? I saw a block off plate for the egr tube and I am guessing you can remove the solenoid and block off the vacuum. Will this throw codes and if so what do you have to do. My car does not have to go thru emissions anymore so I don't think I need the egr. Thanks
