question on chip and transmission

I want to put a 6 speed into my 90 corvette which is an auto. Can I just program the chip for the 6 speed or do I need a 6 speed ECM?

Yes, The ECM is the same, the parameters for the 6 speed need to be changed from the current auto. Should be easy with tuning equipment or send it off. Now you will need the flywheel, bell housing and clutch and slave cylinder added plus the clutch and brake pedal assy. Not sure about the drive shaft or C-beam. You should measure them.

DS and beam only change if you change the rear end; not trans
DS needs a ZF6 31 spline yoke in place of the 27 spline auto one
