Default service ABS

My 90 has the ABS light come on after about 30 seconds, I have checked all the wires are ok, bled the lines, but still has good hard pedal but have to push hard to stop, It stops but have to push really hard, Im afraid to let anyone else drive it. the vacum hose is good on the booster, no leaks anywhere. I am needing some advice in this issue, any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance, Mark

Do you think if I go out and jam the pedal will do the job? Someone on another thread said that took care of it.

Check the fluid level in the master cyl.

Several others on the forum have had this symptom and they took the car to a safe area and made several stops severe enough to engage the abs. This seems to have cured their hard pedal issues.
