Default pke light/interior light problem

i noticed the other day that the pke light on the dash stays on all the time now. Also the interior lights stay on when i drive and take a long time to turn off after i shut down. Pulled the fuse to take the pke light off, but the interior lights still stay on. so i pulled the 2 fuses to make the interior lights stay off, and just put the fuse back in that keeps the pke light on. no radio now tho Ive never had a remote door opener to begin with.

Our PKE light is (was..........bulb burned out) on all the time. Shop told us that the PKE receiver is toast. We have another one, but have not installed it yet as the dash must come out to do it. I have an alternative approach from Gordon Kilbrew, but it involves cutting a hole in the dash behind the centre console and the wife says no way..........it's her car.

We had an interior light problem where part of the dash lights and the drivers door lights would stay on all the time. Turns out a screw in the door had finally wore through (after 15 years) the wiring harness in the door and shorted out two wires

Check the door open/closed switches. Sounds like one may have gone bad/is sticking.
