Default Replacing O2 sensor on a 1995 LT1

I have the connector disconnected but now I can't get a wrench on the sensor. OK - I can get a wrench on the sensor but there is no room to move the wrench to loosen the sensor... Is there a trick to it or do I need a bent wrench?

Jim,
You need to buy an o2 slotted sensor socket to remove the sensors correctly and easier using a rachet.Any auto parts store will have them.

Yup. Get a crow's foot 02 sensor wrench available at any auto parts store. And if you accidentally break one (or both) of the sensor pigtail connectors, (been there, done that) they're available at NAPA Auto Parts stores.

OK - So now I have the O2 socket but I can't get it on the sensor; it's too long and hits the exhaust manifold. Passenger side. Any hints? I think it would be easier if I either pulled the engine or bought a new car.

The crows foot wrench is a low profile wrench to get into places where you are having your problem. Its kind of a side ways tool and not tall like a socket. Auto parts stors have them as well as Harbor Freight Tools.
