Default Winter Project

First time owner of stock 90 C4. Will be replacing the fuel injectors and dressing up the top end of the motor this winter. Any words of wisdom? I'm all ears.

It takes 20 minutes to change the injectors. You better find more stuff to fix if you want it to last you all winter!!

Dang, your good. It would take me about 20 minutes just to change the spark plugs. I was planning to take my time and I was hoping to get some good ideas for other projects while I had the intake assembly off.

I just finished taking the plenum off and polished my TPI. I am not embarrased to open my hood any more. My thread here has alot of tips from members here guiding me thru my progress. I had never polished anything before.. Good Luck. Post up progress pics. We like pics.

Hey guys, your problem is where you live. My winter "project" is the same as my summer one, Car Shows. In Arizona we go to shows in the northern part of the state in the summer, and shows in the Valley of the Sun all winter long. However, at some of the winter shows we do have to wear jackets in the morning! My vette club is taking the NASCAR drivers on their parade lap at Phoenix International Raceway on 11/14. We've done it for 4 straight races (2 events a year) and it is a blast driving in front of 125,000 or more fans and national TV. Good reason to own a convertible. I would like to invite all of you to come to Phoenix this winter and join us in our winter project. With at least 7 corvette clubs and dozens of other car clubs here in the valley, there are always several car shows each weekend.

Very nice, Mike. That's the kind of thing ANY L98 owner should consider when they think of dressing up their top-end!!!

Saweeet That is what I'm talkin about. What a difference. It sure looks nice and it is the original equipment. Does anybody know if polishing the plenum would take me out of the stock class?

Sorry that I didn't reply ealier but my dad suffered a heart attack and I have been away from my computer this last week.

My Dad is out of the hospital and staying at my sisters house. He is in cronic heart failure and the doctors say that his heart has severe damage. Medications will help but his health will not return to what it was before. I guess that is the way it is when your 80 years old.

Thanks for asking Mike

I love the polishing job! Those valve covers and wire holders really set it off. Good job!
