Default sys flashing in dash

Recently I had my break booster replaced at a local chain repair shop. I returned to pick up my car, they battery was dead and would not start. I then promtly walked back inside to imform them they need to figure it out, quickly. Found they did not adjust the break light switch at the break peddle. The lights just stayed ON. Ya think you may have noticed that little bright row of lights at the back end of the car....
Anyway, after charging of my battery and driving for nearly 2 weeks, i still have the "sys" light in the dash also my fuel guage shows empty. I have tried the search on here as i do on a regular basis, it is a corvette. I have not found anyone with the same fuel guage issue associated with the sys light. looking forward to any help. thanks in advance.

With the "sys" light flashing, there is a code stored in the ccm. That code might be of some help in diagnosis. Look in the forum "search" function for info on reading ccm (not ecm) codes, I believe your year self-diagnoses.

Either that or a weak battery.

I've had my SYS flashing for month but everything works and no codes are stored (96 LT4). I read somewhere that replacing factory stereo will do that. Just in case youve done anything else like changing stereo.

Typically the battery is bad or has a low charge.

found the main problem, battery is less than a year old. when then brake booster was operated on, the pedal switch was imporperly adjusted causing the brake lights to stay on. the ccm code was stored as a weak battery. cleared the code and will now move on with diagnosis of fuel level issues. thank you to all with usefull advise, unlike blondes with large mamories beleiving that they really brains, when infact, they're just a mound of fat with a nipple.

AHA, they "prepped" your car so you will come in for the "next" repair?

I answered the other thread you tagged on to that was nearly 9 years old, This one is nearly four years and I'd suggest you just start a "NEW THREAD" and mention your problem or challenge. Always state the year - in the other thread I supplied you a link that should be all you need to know about clearing the CCM codes and the explanation of them and how to scan several systems on your car using the DIC. If your car has C68 (auto-air) there are diagnostics that can be done using it also.

If you need to just start a "NEW THREAD"!
