I have 3 inch flowmaster 2 chambers on, punched my cats out about a year later. Didn't really notice much difference in the volume. I have a custom made hpipe where the resinator was. I hear the headers will make it a little louder. The only thing is on long trips like 2-3 hours at a crusing hwy speed I have to keep it in 5th so I don't get a headache from the 2000-2200 rpm
(i can't spell) resenence?
Anyways round town I love the way my car sounds, of course every mustang driver takes notice and either won't play or tries
I HATE MUSTANGS! Just thought I'd get that off my chest!
I say go with the TPIS 52mm, I haven't been to the track yet. But no BS I noticed a difference right away. Throttle response rocks, super sensitive! Pulls very smoothly. I like going with the hand modified stock piece anytime I can over an assembly line piece. Better attention to detail. Plus They are $40 less than the BBK's i've seen. Easy to install took about 20 minutes!
Thanks for the feedback on the TB, James. I've come across a couple lightly used BBKs at good prices that I'm thinking about, but if they fall through, the TPIS is sounding more attractive. The thing I don't like is that the TPIS price is an exchange price. I'd kind of like to keep my original, just in case. I haven't asked TPIS how much their core charge is. Do you recall what it was when you bought yours?
Jeff - Here's the pics of the headers. If there's something specific you wanted to see, let me know and I can take more pics. The collectors are 3" OD.
TPIS core charge on the TB is $220. Those headers sure do llok good! I should have mine Wednesday. Hopefully will get em on this Friday and to the exhaust shop Saturday. Can't Wait.

Thanks for the pics, they look  you're making me want a set. How thick are the mounting flanges? What gaskets are you going to use? Will you be able to take a few pics after they are installed? Do I ask to many $%@$& questions? :D

Re: Just ordered TPIS Headers! (James94LT1)
Right about dead in the middle of Missouri. I dunno if you've ever heard of The Lake of the Ozarks. Or maybe about our world famous party cove?
The lake has more miles of shoreline than the west coast! Its basically a bunch of big rivers they flooded. I moved here from Kansas City, Mo about 2 years ago. Boating is my other passion and there is no better place to boat in MO that the Ozarks! check out http://www.partycove.com
Thanks, I loved MO, I spent some weekends traveling through the The lakes of the Ozarks. Beautiful country.
I also raced my rental car at Mid American just outside of Wentzville. Is that place still open???????? It was a track right out of the '60s.
Never heard of that track so I can't tell you forsure?!?!
MY HEADERS SHOWED UP TODAY!!!
They are saweet looking pieces! Can't wait to get em on! I am going to attempt to 1) Change out the opti 2) install an electric water pump 3) Get the headers on!
I have Friday evening and Saturday to get it all done, I have to be back at work on Sunday! Anyone want to help?!?!?
Keep in mind that you will need to snap a lot of pictures during this install.:D
What he said. ^ :D Wish I could give you a hand. Suggest starting with the opti and w/p first, those two alone are going to take a while. Good luck, look forward to hearing your results
