They should be here in a few days. Know I just hope I can get enough time away from work to put em on. They aren't suppose to be all that tough from what I hear. I will let you guys know how it goes!
Actually I'm not going to use the y-pipe I am going to have my current exhaust modified to fit up. I want to keep true dual. I am sure it is going to be a adventure anyhow.

You'll love 'um. The go on easy. DO not use the Y-PIPE. Your stock exhaust will hook up with a little modification. But you can install cats being your a 6M car.
Right on! Hopefully next weekend I'll have em and have time to get them on!
I am not going to use cats, it isn't my daily driver. Mine are punched out right now.
What are the best gaskets to go with cause I hate blown header gasket tic-tic-tic sounds! Almost as much as I hate to change em! :smash:
Right about dead in the middle of Missouri. I dunno if you've ever heard of The Lake of the Ozarks. Or maybe about our world famous party cove?
The lake has more miles of shoreline than the west coast! Its basically a bunch of big rivers they flooded. I moved here from Kansas City, Mo about 2 years ago. Boating is my other passion and there is no better place to boat in MO that the Ozarks! check out http://www.partycove.com
that partycove website has changed i guess, sorry! It use to have a ton of pic of the wild parties on the water here. Basically like girls gone wild but for free and live in your face every weekend!
I just ordered a set, too. Placed the order on Tuesday and they arrived at my door yesterday! (TPIS is only about 40-50 miles from my house.) They look great, can't wait to get them on the car.
I just noticed that you've also got a TPIS 52mm TB on your car. I'm going to put a 52mm on mine, too, but I'm going back and forth between a BBK and something like the TPIS offering. The TPIS guy said theirs is a bored stock unit which he said performs better and is higher quality than a Holley or BBK (as you'd expect him to). Are you happy with the TPIS? Did you get any noticeable performance gain? Any other pros or cons?
Congrats on the TPIS Headers, they look great on my car. But a few warnings or hints. make sure you can put exhaust bolts through the holes before you try to install. the coating on my made the holes small, and I had to drill out. Second, imagine the bolt going straight inthrough the hole, not on an angle. on tubes for cylinder number 3 and 7, driver side, I had to use a large socket and bang on its side where the dimple is in the tube already to make clearance for bolts. Three- route and clip plug wires as far away from melting hot headers as possible. Four- consider buying a starter wrap from from Summit. do it before you put headers in, not when you have to buy a new starter a month later. Wrap and position starter wires and O2 sensor wire as far away from melting hot headers. I have had headers on for a year with the Mr. Gasket D port header gaskets and have had NO leaks. Just be sure to retighten the bolts after a few heat cycles. Because they are quality pipes with a thick bar stock against the heads, they dont seem to warp and leak like the black Jack headers of my youth. Good luck.

Congrats on your purchase, I await with baited, or jaded? breath to hear how your installs go. James I see you said your not going to re-install cats what about you? GS can I ask a favor? Can you measure your collectors? I'm curious what diameter they are. Are they a round pipe or do they have a mounting flange? Any chance of either of you posting a few pics? And one last question to anyone. On a modified engine; 383, Hot Cam, AFR/TPIS heads, 52mm TB, Flowmaster exhaust etc... how much(est HP and TQ) more are the long tubes worth over shortie headers? I really want long tubes but I'm curious if I'll get $700 worth of gain. :D

Sure thing, Jeff. I'll try to do this over the weekend and post back here.
I say go with the TPIS 52mm, I haven't been to the track yet. But no BS I noticed a difference right away. Throttle response rocks, super sensitive! Pulls very smoothly. I like going with the hand modified stock piece anytime I can over an assembly line piece. Better attention to detail. Plus They are $40 less than the BBK's i've seen. Easy to install took about 20 minutes!
I still haven't recieved my headers yet, probally Mon. or Tues!
