I stopped using oil additives in the 70's and have never questioned that decision. If you use Mobile 1 and change your oil 3000-5000 miles you will get the more than enough protection of your engine. I read the Mobile 1 lab tests and am convinced that oil additives, no matter how great they sound, do not have a material benefit to your engine.
This is in my opinion.

This has become my standard answer for this type of question. Don't listen to us, go to http://www.google.com and do a search. You will find the government sights that list the lawsuits regarding this product. Make up your own mind!
No. Its only useful if you plan to run without oil for a while AND you don't mind that fact that it eats up bearing surfaces due to chemical reactions from the additive.
