HVAC controls not working correctly?
I have an 84 vette and my heater/air controls are not working correctly. 1. Regardless of what i put the Floor/defrost/vent setting on, it comes out all 3 at the same time. 2. when i set the cold/hot, it will go between to two regardless of what its on. For example, when going down a hill with the cruise set, the air will get cold (set on hot) but when i pull a hill, the air will warm up again. Vacuum leak? thanks

Sounds like you blend door is flopping around with a little help from gravity. You might want to pull the passenger side hush panel/knee bolster panel and take a look at everthing while messing with the control panel. That area is a little difficult to get at so take you time. The good news is it sounds like your heater core is working!.....I just changed my busted one out over the weekend and boy was that FUN!

I figured out the problem! I was trying to chase the blend door by the cable, so i pulled out the HVAC and noticed that the blend door cable had popped off! So after putting it on with a retainer clip, its all working correctly
