94 LT1 engine miss
Why would one time my car would run fine then next it will act like it has miss and not run like it should

Intermittent problems are usually electrical, e.g. loose or poor ground, connector, short, etc. You could pull codes even if the service light is off, you might get a hint where to look for your problem. As always, diagnosis of an intermittent issue is easiest when it is happening.

I have a 94 LT1 and I had the same problem. Mine turned out to be the Opti-Spark Ignition system. I replaced it with a MSD vented unit from Summit Racing. The original unit was non vented and was completely ate up with rust on the inside, and no this car does not sit outside. The Chevy dealer in town wanted almost $800.00 for a stock replacement unit and I bought the lot nicer MSD unit for less than $500.00. Your car has a two piece balancer so it's not really as bad of a job as it looks like. Make sure your water pump is in good condition before you re-assemble everything. a water leak could take out the new Opti-spark

replaced the plugs wires, plugs fuel filter. air filter, opti and all that other stuff with in the last 20K miles or within 3 years. the opti was a new Delco. I have reason to believe its the wires and have a relative with a tester to test the wires while the car is running.
