Default 388ci TPI Starting Issues

My '86 has been an on going project for the last few years and I am finally at the point of trying to start and test drive the car.

I am running a 388 stroker with Dart heads and SLP runners. The injectors are 30lb Bosch red tops, and the tune is from www.pcmforless.com

I was able to get the car to start a few weeks ago using ether, but it wouldn't do much more than idle. Any attempt to rev the engine and it fell on its face. I checked fuel pressure and it was at 0psi with "key on" and while running (made no sense). I ended up finding the hose in between the in tank pump and hard line had ruptured, after the repair I had 45psi with "key on." But now it will not start. I have a good feeling that a few of the injectors are stuck open, because it only tries to start if the pedal is mashed to the floor. Plugs were pretty wet afterwards.

I checked the resistance on each injector and found them to be between 19-22 ohms, which seems abnormally high (should be 14-16 I believe).

Is there any thing I can/should check before I pull the intake and fuel rail to inspect the injectors? Why would the resistance be so high?

I pinched the return line, pressurized the fuel system, then pinched the feed line and there was some bleed down (approx 4psi in 2 minutes). Dumb question, but is this definitely a sign that my injectors are leaking?

Any help or push in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Any idea where the timing is set ?? ..... It sounds like a fresh build and start-up ...

When you push the gas pedal to
the floor it puts it in clear flood mode
no gas to the engine

Agree with TPI you are in clear flood mode with pedal to floor sounds like you are flooding it till you do that. I would get a scan tool take a look at TPS voltage and temp.

Timing is pretty close, I had a timing light on it a few weeks ago when it was running with the ruptured fuel line. Bottom end is not off a fresh build, motor was carbed with Vortec heads before I bought it. When I bought the motor, I put the Dart heads and TPI on and dropped it into the Vette (bought the car with no motor).

I agree that it is flooding pretty bad. I am just not sure if the injectors are dirty/stuck open, or it is too aggressive of a tune.

Again it would be real nice to know what your temp and TPS numbers are. Ecm takes a hard look at these when starting.

Set TPS as stated above, here are some good Tech tips from Golen.

If the injectors were stuck open they would not shut off when you floor the car and allow it to start. You have some other issue like incorrect timing or very poor tune. I would verify the fuel pressure, timing, and make sure all the basics are set correctly.
