AUX fan?

AUX fan?
I posted something last week about this because my Aux fan doesnt turn on. Everyone said to ground the wire to check if it worked. I did that today and the fan comes on when you ground it. Could the temp switch it plugs into be bad? Any thoughts Thanks Ron

If the fan comes on when you ground the lead the temp switch is either bad or the engine is not getting hot enough to turn on the aux fan. The aux fan will not came on until the engine reaches approximately 235 degrees.

The aux fan comes on at about 240 degs.
It is meant to be a backup to the main fan. I test mine every few months to make sure it is working. But other than than, it never comes on because my temps never hit 240 degs.
