Default Lt1 Catalytic converter availability

I am putting a Lt1 exhaust system on my 91.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-t...post1575063293

So far I haven't been able to find Cats that will work.
Does anyone have any ideas?
I found these but $700 I might as well get headers.

How about you take it to an exhaust shop? Tell them what you are doing and see what they say...

Exhaust shops around here will not alter factory exhaust.

You probably won't find any legitimate shop, unless its some "back woods" shop.
It would be against federal emissions laws to alter the type or location of a catalytic converter.

That's why "Cat Back" systems came into play. From the Cats on back, you can alter.

when you can't pass emissions testing (or never if you don't live somewhere that doesn't test).

Or when the darn things come apart and clog the exhaust.

How much clearance form the oil filter on the drivers side? Can you take a pic for me? I was hoping not to have to change over to the smaller LT1 filter/adapter.

Update:
I just ordered a set of Cats with bullet converters from the popular auction site. Looks like they are going to fit without an oil filter adapter.

By just looking at those I feel the heat wave on my legs. Be ready to install a shield or wrap those up.

The Magnaflow cats are VERY close to the oil filter on the LT4. If you have a filter that is larger in diameter it would not fit, unless it is VERY short.
