Default Non working hide away light motor

I have a 1991 that the right side pop up light motor died. Replaced it but still did not work. Removed whole assemby and plugged into the connectoe on the left side. I'm assuming that each side has a seperate fuse. Read several threads, pulled the black box mounted at the front of the left side passenger side, found no fuses. It has to be something simple. Any help would really be appreciated. Mark

you dont say if it worked or not when you plugged it into the other side, there are no fuses past the module, that black box is the control module for both lites. If it works on one side but not the other, you need to check the wiring to see if there's voltage to that side, if no voltage back track to the module and check for continuity, if you get that, check the module pins for voltage output, if you dont get that. check for input to the module, if you have voltage to the module but not out, replace the module. sounds complicated , but its not.
