hi guys thank you for taking the time to look at this...
here is my problem, i have an 85 vett with a bad det problem so i looked around the engine and saw that my knock sensor was installed but had no wires on it! (knock sensor located bottem of the block just in front of starter) so i looked around to see if i could find a free hanging wire but none were around, could any one tell me were i need to run a new wire from.
I believe the origional "knock" wire (single wire) should be wrapped in with the starter loom so you may just need to unwrap stuff and tie into what's left of the existing wire (if it is still in there that is).
Look for a dark blue wire. It runs directly to terminal "E" of the Electronic Spark Control Module. ESCM is located on the right front of the firewall, on the right hand side of the dash.
wow guys thank you very much for the help i found the ESCM and followed terminal "E" about half way down the wire loom and it was cut.... no idea why bt there it was!!!
