Default Freezing Door Seals

Hi,
I use my 92 LT1 Coupe as a daily driver.
What can I put on the door seals to prevent them from freezing shut?
Thanks,

Happens on mine too. Get some weather strip conditioner and apply that a few times a week or when you feel necessary.

Probably wax the car as well where the weatherstripping touches the body.

Maybe the weatherstripping on the door is worn?

I've always heard that silicone spray on the weatherstripping works too.

Silicone spray works. Dielectric grease also works since it is silicone based (I think).

I just went through this with my daughter's car. Spray silicone on a rag and rub it on the seals. Works great.

If you do have a leaky top or window to A or B pillar seals the door carpet will get wet and freeze to the sill trim. Next time it rains hard, check your door carpet for wetness too. Not the best solution, but you may need some silicone based product applied in that area too.

I had to have a heat gun out last night to get the car open.

Kind of glad this was brought up as I noticed some freezing on the lower part of the door towards the front. I do have a leak at the top where the weatherstripping meets. At least I think thats where it comes from.

Thing is the stripping looks pretty good.

Anyways it drips a bit onto the seat from the top where the two pieces meet... and also onto the rug on the door carpet. Suggestions on what pieces to replace or to replace at all?

Where is the most common spot for the stripping to leak? And is it worth it to replace or will it leak soon after to some extent? I have a coupe not convertible.

Im trying to get everything perfect with the car or as close as possible.

Thanks!
