Not sure what year model you have, but there is a PCB on the back of the wiper motor. The switch may be bad and then the PCB (most likely) may be going bad as well
My wipers work great until they get wet.....(think about that one for a moment, the irony)
Sorry, it's an '85. I guess if I can get some info on what to check on the circuit board on the motor, I can have a poke around, the switch is ok I believe, but I can re check that as I checked it a while ago.
There is a lot of info on "wipers" if you search and go back at least 2 pages. I was looking for one the was pretty good but don't know if this is the one but it is good also. Check the links on the posts of the thread for they are very good out of the FSM for you year.
I fixed mine a while back and from what I remeber it goes ike this.
first do the wipers park?
If not it could be the pc board or the park switch.
If they park then the park switch is working and it is either the stalk where the switch is lovacted or the circuit board.
My car would not park the wipers and the different speeds did not work other than high.
I do have the complete motor out of my 91 with the bad park switch I would let go reasonable if you find it is the board and it would fit you car. I am assuming the board is good because being lazy I tried the board off the replacement motor so I did have to play with the linkage and it did not make any difference and I could not see anything wrong looking at it burned traces or cold solder joints. PM me if interested and sure the board is what you need and will fit your car.
