Default New LT Headers for LT1 and LT4?

Ok, while looking for Corvette stuff on ebay I found this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-E...#ht_3195wt_939

Here is what they say:

Specification.
Primary Port Diameter: 1.5/8"

2.50" off road lead pipes

100% T304 Stainless Steel..

Runner Wall Thickness: 16 Gauge(1.5mm)

Item Description:
OBX Genuine Products Design and Quality of OBX U.S.A.

Great Fitment, Great Quality And Great Price Guaranteed.

What do you guys think... Obviously its not as good as ARH's headers but its half the price so it caught my attention...

They might work. Buy them and report back to the forum.

It also says to make an offer on them. Lowball the hell out of him and see how far he comes down on his price

OBX makes many knock-off header setups. I've read on many other forums and the reviews are good and bad, but mostly good. At that prices it sounds like a really good deal.

If I was to by LTH I'd go with EM. Many C4 owners can't be wrong.

I thought the LT4 had exhaust ports like a Fastburn heads in that they are D shaped and the port is raised about 1/4 inch. These and almost all the others I have seen are round and the bolts on center to the ports and not raised. I had read as well that the Fastburn heads need special flanges but according to GM they use LT1 and LT4 port size and bolt location yet every pic I have seen of LTX headers they are on center too what gives there? I do know Hookers will not correctly fit Fastburn heads so assume the fit is marginal at best on a LT1 or LT4. The upside other than price I see on these is the 1 5/8 primaries make sense for a 400 HP engine.

Just to be clear, they are made in China. That seems like a misleading description so you'll think they are made here, vs sold by a company called "OBX USA"...

It seems like they've really expanded their lineup recently. I've been reading threads about their new CTS-V headers, LT5 headers, and now these.

Good points everyone! They obviously wont be as good as the ARHs but for the price I was very surprised! The ports looked wrong but I was surprised they are stainless steel!

For a true dual exhaust the would be a real buy if they fit the chassis correctly. I wonder if someone pointed out the flange difference they would make that change then a super bargin.

I went through the same thing. I had Hedaman Elite Headers 1 5/8, Magnaflow stainless cat and Magnaflow stainless cat back. When I put on my GMPP Fast Burn heads The 1 5/8 headers covered the top 1/4' or so of the ports. I sold it all and am going with Stock LT1 exhaust for now.

To me the collectors look like ****. The pictures do not inspire happy thoughts. Id love to know how well they actually work. Anyone run a set of these?

I thought this came up a while ago, maybe a different make, but similar design. Someone said they bought them and would report back but I think the general though was that they look awfully similar to F-body headers.

Only one way to find out.

As for the EM headers, we should do a survey...

I'll start a thread.
