Is there any provision for adjustment there? About 1/4 of the way from the top of the driver's door, the leading edge contacts the trailing edge of the hood, at one point during opening or closing the door.

Loosen the hood pivot mounting bolts and pull the hood forward 1/8" and retighten.

Hmm, you just reminded me that my hood hinges are loose. I have a used pair to put in place of the original (190k mile)set, so maybe that's the problem.

You can also adjust the rear of the hood up using the locator pins (the ones with the springs). This can help if you need a very quick fix to prevent further damage.

I swapped out the driver's side hinge yesterday, there was a huge amount of slop in the actual pivot pin... of course, now I can't really get it aligned as well as I'd like, but the rubbing on the door has stopped.
