Default Where do these Wires Go?

I apologize Im new to the Forum and I havent figured out how to post pics yet.

Just got this 1985 Corvette today and trying to get it running. Guy I bought it from could not finish the work he was doing on it.

I have figured out most of the wiring but I need help with these last things.

Heres a link to 3 pics Ive still got to upload one more

http://s985.photobucket.com/albums/a...rvette%20Pics/

I bought a Chilton Manual but I need pics lots of pics and figures and this aint got that. Could someone point me in the right direction please. Also where can I go on this site or manual or whatever where I can get nice engine pics with detail about where wire plugs go. Very few in this Chilton Manual.

Picture #1.....this tube bolts to the valve cover (top or inside toward the center of the engine). The open end of the tube (toward driver) should have a rubber hose that goes from this between the runners to a outlet on the intake.

Picture #2...you are missing a piece. Check this.....

The bracket you see to the left in your picture with the two bolts at the bottom should have the above on it. I believe this is the air system switching valve or the diverter.

You should buy a GM service manual. You can find used ones on Ebay. The Chiltons manual is not detailed enough.

I sure appreciate everyones help. The comments have helped. Ive added 2 more pics showing the throttle body. I have the bottom hose situated now. The top hose Im begining to think goes to something that has been taken off of the front of my motor. I think John A. Marker mentioned in his post.

Can anyone confirm this?

Also I noticed the valve cover on the pass side was on backwards so I turned it around. While looking at pass side pics of engines I saw that there is some short rubber hose that comes off of that pass valve cover (hole closest to firewall) straight to the intake. On my car I see no hole or anything in that area to hook up too. Can anyone point me in the right direction on that.

Many Thanks

O and by the way how id you all get those pics to post onto the Forum? When the prompt asks me toenter the URL of image and I copy and paste that in all I get is a bunch of code.

Thanks

Thanks everyone, I got it all put together now it wont crank. It sounds like the same problem my GTA had. The last owner was saying that before he started his tune up it would run great then all of a sudden run ruough. He thought it was the timing but he decided to change all the sensors on it first and fule pump/filter.

I went through something similar on my other car. It ended up being the gas tank having gunk in it. Cleaned the tank and bam problem solved. But Im gonna check fuel pressure first before I drop the tank. Any other suggestions?

Won't crank = does not turn over

Won't crank or won't start/run ?

It will turn over and all but run. Basically it acts as if it going to start up like it should but never does.

Found out it had been setting for about 2 years. Changed the plugs tried it a couple more times and fired up. So now its on to bleeding the brakes.
