If you know what you are doing or prepared to pay someone who does
IMO, this reading of plugs and listening for pinging, etc, etc, is a little too subjective for my liking. I like to see readouts and it makes things clearer.
Still, what is the difference? If you don't know carburetors, you will have to pay someone to do it. Right now, that is what I have to do for the last few items I own that are not FI. My Jetskis and ATVs are all FI and only the yard stuff is carburetor. If you don't know FI, yes, you will pay someone to fix it. Your other option is to learn it. Same with the carburetor. Since most of my stuff is FI, I can forget about carbs and learn FI stuff. Yes they do vary slightly but the FI principles are very similar, IMO.
