Does anyone know if a 1989 Corvette has a cam or crank sensor? I looked at the problems bad cam and crank sensors have and think it is a issue on my car, but I can't find any information on those parts for that year Corvette.
Can anyone think of a sensor that if bad would cause the engine to "surge" at idle from 600rpm to 700rpm and then back down to 600rpm
Things I've replaced:
Injectors (fuel pressure is good)
O2 sensor
IAC
TPS (Set correctly)
Air Filter
CAT and Mufflers
ECM (Still has old EPROM in it)
All ignition system from plugs to inginition module
Did compression test and engine is good.

Is their something I need to do to make it learn. I've been driving it for a good 3 months with this problem and it never goes away.
If I disconnect the dist timing wire the problem does not exist, so its a sensor or computer issue some where. The computer just doesn't like to have a smooth idle.
