Hey all. I got a new throttle body sensor for my 84. I have some issues with a slight hesitation when I am at about 30mph and accelerate. I have changed everything else, fuel pump, fuel filter, etc. And its still there. I also have a complete tuneup with new plugs etc.
I am going to change it and see if this helps. Is there anything special I need to do?
Can I just swap the old one with the new one? I am going to put it in anyways since its new. But I do want to do it right. Any help is greatly appreciated.
The sensor can be easily swapped out, but it needs to be calibrated as it is adjustable. You need to jump the top and bottom wires (I think) and measure the voltage. Adjust it to .5 volts. Maybe someone else can chime in. It's been a few years and now I check it on a laptop. Good luck. Willie
