I drove my baby home last nite it was running like normal. When I started at 3 pass noon it was running rough and a Dinging type sound. The sound was coming from the passager side front part of the valve cover. I took it off and nothing looks out of place.
It got good oil
Can someone please aid me in this please?

Reason: solved
When I turn the car on it run ok but the RPM jumps from 800 to 600 and back but stop as I pull out and start driving. Like I said not sure if this has anything to do with it.
With the valve cover off, you can start it up for a few seconds and see/hear where the clacking is coming from. Could be the valvetrain; rocker arm backed off, flat cam lobe, broken spring... or it could be an exhaust manifold leak; bad gasket or broken weld. Just hold a sheet of cardboard inside the valvecover ridge to redirect the oil. Good luck.
Ok it morning when help get here Ill get started. Ill shot a little video and hope you all can hear the sound im talking about. Wish me luck on a easy fix or send all get well cards to the ICU.
Ok, I found the problem and it getting fix in the morning. I had a lifter go out and bend a push rod. The sound I was hearing was the bent push rod. The Rocker has no damage. Im going to replace just the one lifter and push rod, and later with the tax return do a rebuild to fix and renew my motors life.
