I am wondering if anyone knows the thread size and length for the power steering pump mount bolts. I'm doing an LT1 swap in my 84' (Yes i now realize I should have bought the whole Vette LT1 to begin with) I bought the bracket and pump, etc. I have been trying to figure this out for quite a while, and the dealer either doesn't know or won't tell me.. Anyone have any pictures too? (that would help a lot) I also saw there is another bracket that is bolted to the pump itself? Also do I need to use that tube that runs under the front of the motor for the power steering fluid? Or is there no room on the right hand side of the car? Also I have an alternator for an LT1 but I want to use the original harness from the car for the alternator but the original is a 2 wire with a positive terminal and the LT1 has the positive terminal but has a plug with 1 bigger gauge wire and I think 3 smaller wires in the main plug.... What wires need to be hooked up?
Also the PS pump i bought has the 92-93 plastic pulley on it that I'm going to remove so if anyone wants a cheap pulley PM me. Thanks!
Also can anyone take pictures of the coolant lines running from the reservoir also? Or at least inform me of where they go? I was going to check out some LT1 C4's last summer but work got in the way and I never had a chance.
Need more info
What radiator / overflow bottle setup are you using
What hoses?
What are you doing with the steam tube plumbing from rear of heads?
I'm hoping to use the 84 radiator that's in it I also am using LT1 radiator hoses and I'm using the LT1 bottle that sits in the rear left hand side of the engine bay(Black bottle). I mainly need pictures or info of were the hoses go that run from the coolant bottle, the ones that from what I've seen go rubber to steel to rubber and run down the left hand ride of the engine bay. Also I asked about the bracket b/c I don't have one. I was hoping somebody had one, or if it was safe to run without it.. I might be able to make my own if necessary.. Also with the steam tube I'm just going to run it into the radiator hose and bypass the TB.
I'm hoping to use the 84 radiator.... I also am using LT1 radiator hoses and I'm using the LT1 bottle .
You are trying to mix two different systems
'90 + cars use a different radiator ( with the bottle you mention )
If keeping '84 radiator would be simpler to use '84 overflow bottle setup and just run the two heater hoses direct from the LT1 pump with the steam tube vent Tee'd into the heater return line

So I won't have a problem with it not incorporating the LT1 coolant bottle into the system? Just use the 84 setup (other than the heater core lines) and I should be ok? Is the bottom left 90 degree tube the return for the heater core line on the pump? Thanks for the help!
Also I can't use the LT1 bottle b/c it doesn't fit under the Crossfire hood. So I guess using the 84 stuff is my only route. haha
Also I'm having a wiring problem now I think. I hook up the power I'm 99.9% sure I got all the grounds grounded(at least for testing purposes) and I don't have power to certain items... I have power to the radio, lights, Power mirrors, turn signals, wipers, power windows, brake lights, hatch release, and dash. What I don't have are Interior lights (checked the socket for 12v and it doesn't have any directly at the socket)and power door locks. And I forgot to test the power seats..... Any ideas? Are those 2 items linked? I checked the fuses and they are all good....
Problem solved so far... Apparently the fuse "ctsy/clk" was blown. I checked the fuse before but I must have missed it being blown... It's blown pretty small, you would only see it if you were looking at it for a second.. a quick glance and you would miss it... As I did...
