ses light with engine running
the ses is blinking very fast 2-3 times a second.
what does that mean ?

If the On/Off flashes are of equal duration (On=rich; Off=lean) the mixure is fine. If On is longer than Off the mixture is rich; if Off is longer than On the mixture is lean.

i did the ses check with engine on.
at idling the ses blinks not regular, 2 sec. on... 3 sec. off ....1 sec. on 5 sec. off ans so an. when i go up to 1500 rpm + it blinks regular.
i resume i have a "fuel related rroblem". lines , pressure, pump relay... what can i check DIY.
Maybe i have a bad ground somewhere but how to find ?
I can hear the fuel pump when i start the car (ignition on). i think it lasts more than 3-5 seconds, before the problems it last schorter i think.
maybe i realy have a crimped fuel line since the mechanic lifted the car. Are there fuel lines routed under the car ?
I also watched the area aroung the gas filler neck. Corroded lines there not nice. here is the url: http://www.asamnet.de/~wanhoffr/corrosion.jpg

they are not of equal duration at idling (erratic idling). just above 1500 rpm they are equal. what should i check first air/fuel ratio problem.
maybe the iac is the problem.

Did you check for codes by just turning the ingition On and counting SES flashes, without starting the engine?
If you have an IAC under the TB, pull the IAC motor and clean the pintel and it's bore. Also clean the TB and throttle plates with some TB cleaner (don't use carb cleaner).
If you still have problems, get a vacuum gauge and check manifold vacuum at idle. It will tell you if you have air leaks. Also inspect all vacuum lines for integrity.
BTW, having a Corvette in Germany must even rarer than a 911 here. I wish I could get my Vette on some of your highways.

i will pull the IAC motor and clean the pintel tomorrow. i hope i can do this without destroying anything. do you remeber how to get it out easy ?
frank
i have them just for the engine off procedure.
