how many spline converter do i need????

Default how many spline converter do i need????

1990 corvette ..someones selling a hughes 3500 stall in vegas for 200 and its a 30 spline what spline is mine????

Vettes are 30 spline

No, have to correct you on that note...........

All C4 700R4's and 4L60E's are 30 - spline turbine/input shaft transmissions. 1984-1996.

The 1982 C3 Vette used a 27-spline turbine input shaft 700R4 trans.

My 87 Vert 700R4 is a 30-spline turbine input shaft likewise.

I personally have never seen a 30 spline input shaft on an 84 model year, or a 27 spline input shaft on an 85, unless it was converted by another rebuilder. This would apply to vettes, or non vette vehicles.
Note that my experiences are limited. I have built approx 30 of each model year, so I cannot confirm the aprox build date that the switch. happened.
Thats alot of 700R4 & 4L60E C4 transmissions you have overhauled Pete.

Would not call it limited experience.

More like your own transmission service shop.

1984-1996, ='s 13 years X 30 = 390 transmissions.

The only 1984 C4 trans I ever seen close up 1st hand had the 30-spline input turbine shaft.

That must have been a late 84 trans then.
