Gear Ratio Change
I am looking at a dana 44 with 4:11 gearing. It is lower gearing than I want but figure I will have it rebuilt before installing it anyway. Is it going to be any more expensive to rebuild with say a 3:70 gear ratio? Any idea what it might cost to have it rebuilt? Not going crazy. I figure probably about 550 hp street and road race, no drag racing.

About $500.00.
4:11 Seems awfully tall for a 4 spd car? Have you swapped the transmission?
That's a lot of Hp for RR motor? The brakes to stop that thing will be $3,000.00?
