Alright. My wallet is all booked up for the next two weeks getting new Springs and Bilstein Shocks and a new Harmonic Balancer. But, right after that I'm getting new fuel injectors. Any suggestions? Should I upgrade to something bigger? Any particular brand?
Being that I don't know a damned thing about the mechanics of these things, I like to go into the shop with a little knowledge so I don't look too ridiculous. I can't go getting taken advantage of too much. :smash:
If your current fuel injectors are working fine there is really no reason to change. If you do need to change your best bang for the $$$ is going to be a set of SVO injectors that match the flow rating of yours, or as mentioned above, having your injectors cleaned, serviced, and flowed.

Are you doing any major work on the displacement of the cylinders? (in other words, are you stroking to 383?)
If not, it just ain't all that necessary. I have seen rave reviews for injector re-conditioning for "Rich at Cruzin-performance". <----someone give a link again please?
I am currently trying ACCEL 26 lbers. They were dirt cheap. but, you get what you pay for. I pulled my plugs to examine them last week after only 1000 miles on them. 2 of them were sooty(on opposite banks) leading me toward a questionable injector. A couple other guys have had some issues with these Accels also.
I am gonna pressure test them maybe next week as I go to install the SR. If they leak, I will reserve judgement and see if there was some contaminant that clogged them. If they turn up clean, they are outta there!
Lotsa guys on here using SVO's with succes. Egad, a Ford item on my car?!
