surge tank bypass

surge tank bypass
got a be cool rad and my surge tank is broken can i bypass it???

eliminate is probably a better word than bypass

make the hose that goes to it, drain out on the ground? better to fix it or make something that will do the same thing, it allows your cooant to expand and contract without loosing volume

can I build one out of aluminum? or keep it in and use the radiator drain that's on the radiator itself

not drain i meant overflow and just cap off the overflow that's on the surge tank?

On a 90+ the surge tank is the thing that holds the pressure in the coolant system
( has a radiator cap on it ); not just a recovery bottle for the overflow like on the earlier cars

Put a radiator cap on the top radiator hose ,

work out where to put the vent line from radiator and rework the heater hose that goes to tank
