I've been having entertainment trying to get the new front tires 275X40X17 balanced, took it to three different tire shops including twice where I bought and had them installed. Started to pull them off and buy new tires. Read on line about Hunter Road Force balancing, found out dealers ,and of all places, Mineke muffler has a road force tire balancing machine. Took it to mineke, am now a happy camper. Dealers quoted me $65 ,the place I bought them charged me $30, mineke charged me $20. If you have tires that wont quite balance, Road Force Rocks. my 2c's
That Hunter machine is great. We have one and I can balance just about anything. Had a guy that bought tires for his truck at a dealer in maryland, and had it back 3 times for a vibration concern at 75MPH. Well, all they did was balance them again and again. Still had the vibration.
He brought it to us when he was visiting the area. I drove it and sure enough a little vibration at 75MPH. Road forced it had about 20lbs or more. Anything much over 15-20 is bad. Got them all back in range with the worst being like 16. Test drove truck with the guy, he was happier than a pig rolling around in mud.
