Default Module 1 Code H 54

I ran a DTC code scan on my 94 LT1 and it came up with H 54. From what I can find, it is "Fuel Pump (low voltage)" How should I test the pump or circuit to it. The car has a miss that developed and has progressively gotten worse. It is not the Opti. Plugs and wires are also new. I had a shop diagnose it and they thought that the fuel injector drivers in the ECM going bad but they didn't seem sure of it. Thoughts?

You need to consult the '94 FSM for the diagnostic procedure for code 54. You will find it laid out in step-by-step fashion.

What not to do is replace parts on speculation, hoping for a win. Could be another forum member with the '94 manual can post the page for you. I looked in my '92 book, and I don't think it is the right info for your car.

the map is on page 8D-63

In summary, in the absense of other codes, clear the code and see if it returns. If it does return and there are no other codes then "Contact technical assistance before replacing CCM"

I'll try to post the page tomorrow when I have access to a flat bed scanner.

<edit> I meant to add that since your code is historical that were it me I'd just clear it and forget it unless it reappears. </edit>

Thanks guys. I am in full agreement Steve, I won't throw parts at a problem until I am sure that it is the cause. I meant that I haven't yet bought an FSM. 94 that would be great of you can post the proceedure. Thanks

Having established that we are in agreement re parts replacement, since the car is new to you, you could consider replacing some maintenance items in the absence of any service history. In this case, especially if your miss is more noticeable at speeds above idle, you could replace the fuel filter (at little expense if DIY). This is a job that is frequently neglected, there is how-to info in the "stickies" at the top of the forum page as well as in the "search" function.
