The only practical location to mount an Auxillary Trans Cooler would be in front of Radiator and A/C condensor.
If You get down low and look in front of your Corvette just above the front lower air dam, you can see there is ample mounting room for that B&M Trans Cooler.
You might have to fabricate some mounting brackets of your own to get the job done mounting that B&M Cooler.

That's where I mounted my transmission cooler, right in front of the aux fan. I also installed a lower temp sensor.
So I mounted it directly behind the radiator and in front of the water pump,]
Don't know how effective it will be there. Is going to get hot air from radiator over it
What are dimensions of cooler?
You might be better mounting it on the front of cross member where the Z51 PS cooler mounts.
At least it would have cool air flow when moving
if you don't have a power steering cooler, buy one and use that as a trans cooler. If I were you, and wanted a trans cooler, I would use that, it has a specific bracket, and mounts low on the frame.

Not much air going through the spare tire carrier.
True, but I envisioned cutting the cover up to act as a heat shield. Pretty open after that and there is supposedly a good bit of flow back there?? Low pressure at rear fascia??? if that true should work?
We tried an oil cooler on a track day, just because we had it for the track car, and stuck it on a daily driver... mounted 1/2" off the floor board under the driver... it dropped oil temps 75 degree over just spirited cruising temps.. and we where going A LOT faster than cruising speeds .
Going to try it here with ducts from the X directional lights...
Good spot if you can live with the Evap sys Not sure it would fly with the Tranny cooler?

Mike,
I didn't like the idea of mounting the cooler to my A/C condenser and having the zip ties work on the aluminum fins so I had some brackets made and mounted a B&M cooler to the front crossmember where it's not in the way and still gets good airflow. I have more photos of the install if you need them.
I put a PS cooler there and it was simple. Drill and tap threads, then make Z shaped brackets. I would not put the cooler behind the radiator like above. Here's a pic of the PS cooler:
