Default Dim Dash Lights

have a stock 88' c4. sometimes (more oftern than not) when i turn the car on my dash lights are extreamly dim (almost not visable). sometimes it takes a couple of seconds and then they go to full brightness, other times they stay dim... any ideas im clueless on this one

The dash lighting circuits can be tough to troubleshoot. Go to batee.com and look under the C4 corvette section for dash info and hopefully you will find your solution. It could be a bad ground or power circuit on one of the 2 boards or connectors, maybe a bad solder joint.

Good luck and post up what you find and the solution as well. I am chasing the same problem.

yeah im thinking a bad solder joint since the problem is intermident. thanks for the input, i will post more when i find out exaclty what the problem is

Could be the sensor on the dash that reads the light to adjust the brightness is going bad..WW
