One of the gears stripped out in my driver side headlight; not a problem, I bought new gears and replaced them. However, now that I have got it back together it seems to have a mind of its own, sometimes flipping over half-way, or not even moving when I pull the lights on. I think it may be a problem in the wiring or relay or something. I know it isn't the gears because I can adjust them manually with no problem. Where should I start looking for the problem?
I have something similar happening to mine. I was just going to post it and then I seen yours so I will try it here and maybe we can both learn something. My headlight motors want to keep running for a short time after I turn them on or off. They have been doing it for a few months now and tonight the drivers side didn’t want to flip all the way around and then when I did get it to flip I was able to push it back around buy hand. What’s the deal with that? And how do I fix it?
I have the same problem also. I just got the three bushings in today and I am installing them this weekend. I go tmine from Zip products 12.00 for each headlight. I finally got my Ecklers catalog yesterday and saw the same thing for 4.95 each. Oh well as long as it gets fixed the extra cost doesn't matter.
Good luck with yours
