I agree Cumbercr the 268 sounds even better for the 350/383, going bigger really depends on the intake. Get the 113s up to 260 isn't bad but that stock TPI on a 383 especially is just a low RPM choker, you can force the curve up some with a bigger cam but it won't be the most efficient.
Probably getting ahead of ourselves though, I would think the 268, 219 or similar would be about perfect for his goals without mismatching the intake. Heck, I've had pretty stellar results with the 219 in my 383... 403rwhp/437rwtq, the motor needs more though.
