I have a whine coming from what I think is the rear of the coupe. Almost sounds like tire noise but isn't. I hear it when I am keeping a steady speed. If I accelerate or let off the gas or put in the clutch it goes away. Any ideas on why it is doing this and what the cure may be???
I'm confussed, you said it is not there when you give it gas and it is not there when you push in the clutch?
So does this mean that its only there when costing in gear?
If so, I agree with the rear end as the culprit.

When I keep a constant speed it is there. Accelerate, coast, put in the clutch it goes away. I figure it is something with the rear just trying to figure if it's the gears or a bearing in the rear and what the remedy is
