Timing jumps, normal?
1990 TPI.. Finally got Datamaster to maintain a steady read on this car which pointed out 90% of an idle issue I had.
While recording an idle/start/stop/into gear test (was stalling going in gear) I noticed that at a steady idle timing is a little odd. IAC stays at 22-24, RPM is 550 (in gear) but timing stays around 15d most of the time but does little jumps to 25d and back. Is this normal? It only has about 20mins on a learn and no driving, just idling..
Idle is good now and can go in and out of gear just fine, just thought the timing was odd. A timing light suggests it is doing that but at best is at 25d for a second.
