The module is a propritary box. Company is OUT OF BUSINESS.
Might find a used one here or there - good luck with that.

IIRC then you just need coils and make spark plug wires.

Mod your opti and then figure out why it isn't working.
Get it working and your done until the module dies and you can't find another one.

Good luck with that.

I forgot to mention that the previous owner had put in a new Opti and is stil being used with no problems with the OEM setup. I just didn't want to soak more money into something that the availability of parts were uncertain of.

But, when one component goes people crap on it.
I bet the Opti Optical sensor was bad, or had water in there. Delteqs manual is still online to test the Opti box and coils.

Hi Tom,
I have been trying to contact you for the last 3 weeks to no avail!
Please respond ASAP/convenient?

I have hit a roadblock installing a 93-95 Delteq conversion on my early production 92 LT1.
The supplied T harness will not interconnect with the Opti-Spark diagnostic connectors as detailed in the Delteq installation manual.
The Opti-Spark diagnostic connectors (2 X 3 pattern with one pin missing) vs. the Delteq T-harness (1 X 3 pattern with one pin missing).
Any help/pics would be appreciated.
My contact info is below or you may send me a PM and I will contact.
Thanks,

I see they list a different part number for the '92 as compared to the '92-96 model.
Here was the web site. I was thinking when I was on the site a couple of years ago, I was able to print off the installation information.

Go to "Support." Go to bottom of page and you can print the manual out.

I had one for a few years. Never had any problems with it. I made my own plug wires for it.

Now that the company is out of business though, and you can't get replacement control modules, I don't think I would buy another.

I bought one and had it installed about 7 years ago on my Pro-Charged
93 LT1.
Never had any problems until lately.

I noticed after the first start of the day and just normal driving through the gears sometimes the car would misfire and stutter for a few seconds
mostly in 3rd gear and then be fine the rest of the day.
I could not figure out what it was.

Well a few days ago I was on the I-10,cruise control on 65mph,radio rather loud and going up a hill we call the High Rise when the car started Lugging (so I thought) without a thought dropped to 5th,then 4th,Hey!still lugging. What's going on?

Shut the radio off and the engine was popping and spitting, backfiring etc.
I tried getting over to the right lane. Engine would quit but start right up still spitting etc.
As I crested the hill there was an exit and I shut it down and coasted down the ramp and luckily into a big empty parking lot.
Popped the hood and couldn't find anything obvious.

Cranked it up. Still the same and shut it down.

Called a flat bed and after waiting about 30 min decided to back it up more to make room for the flatbed. I knew it would start.

When I cranked it up it was running like a top???

I didn't want to take a chance so continued with the tow to a recommended Corvette shop.

After two days but admitting they were not familiar with Del-Teq
they could not find the problem.

Called Del-Teq and got the same answering machine.

Anyone on this Del-Teq thread have any ideas?

Heat could be an issue. If it is mounted on the passenger head? I put spacers in mine to keep the heat off if it,.

Herb,
I just finished installing on my 92 LT1 and love it!!!
The car doesn't miss a beat and even saw an increase in instantaneous gas mileage shoot over 30. Not bad for a car with a little over 140K miles.
I had some install issues pertaining to the Delteq Kit which was for a later 93-96 year but overcame/modified by redoing the later style connectors on the T-harness(#3) and substituting (3) 1/4-20 X 4 1/2 Allen head screws and spacers to mount up the coils/pack on my valve covers.
I can provide info on this modification and have extra connectors/misc to do help others out.
I tentatively mounted my Delteq Opti box to the side of the P/S pump and will mount to a more cooler/less heat location after lengthening the harnesses.
I would recommend trying to diagnose your car's symptoms using the diagnostic section of the Delteq Opti-Box installation manual (available PDF download on their website).
This will point towards either the Delteq Opti Box/System or the low/high signals generated from your Opti distributor (bearing, optics or water/anti-freeze/oil failure).
Even though we eliminated the troublesome cap and rotor the other components still could fail.
Best of Luck/Regards,

When I bought my Ruby I had the same problems, and I was very disappointed. I picked the car up in Alabama and got about 10 miles away and it started doing the amme symptoms as you described. I called the guy up I got it from and he said it was probably the fuel filter. I would go about 10-30 miles and would have to pull off the road. Fuel economy dropped to around 9 mpg. I was ticked. Made to Bowling Green by night time and got a filter installed the next morning. I was able to go about 45-60 miles and it would act up, so would stop and let it cool down. Finally got back to Michigan. That winter I checked what I could as this was my first Corvette and made up my mind to return it to stock coil setup. The next spring it ran much better but used cheap coil, module and wires. Module went out after about a month and bought a better one and a coil. Mileage was still down 20-22mpg. The guy I think had problems and couldn't figure what it was as he put on new Opti, Taylor plug wires, E3 plugs (only 7, didn't put the hard one in)
fuel pump and new Bosch III's injectors from FIC. I put AC stock plugs in. I had the paperwork he gave me on the injectors and called Jon and he knew just what was wrong. Sent me new one's and after changing them I was getting over 30 mpg. So I am finally getting it to run better. One of the cheap wires came off the clip last fall and burnt through. Putting a new set of 8.2 Taylors on in the next coupe of weeks.
