Default Loose Tilt Steering wheel!

The pins were tightened up once and it got alot of the slop out but it's coming back. Is there a parts kit out there to fix this specific problem these tilt colums have? THANKS for any help/info.

What you really need is both the upper tilt housing and the lower tilt housing (the two halves that are connected via the pins). Both housings wear out. And the General no longer sells new housings.

Look up Corvette Steering . Com. He has them as NOS, but be prepared, it aint cheap to get both housings.

I just replaced the housings on my 91 and I couldnt be happier.

Ive been meaning to post up the repair operation and my thoughts on this repair, so look for my posting in the next few days about tilt steering pins.

It's usually the 4 bolts coming loose is the problem. The older GM cars had 3 torx headed bolts that had the same problem. Most of the time, just tightning the bolts fixes everything.
