Coil wire length?
Dropped the 383 in today and looking to mount the remote coil for the small cap HEI. Is there a maximum length that the coil wire can be before it degrades it's performance?
The current 8.8 wire is about 18". If it was about 3" longer I could mount it away from the headers on the other side of the heater box.

Dunno about the wire length but spark plug wires do have a certain resistance per foot. Maybe go to the manufacturers website and check it out then decide if you can live with it. or maybe check a hot rod forum.
