Default 85 corvette bose radio

Bought a 85 corvette with no radio, but has bose speakers. Bought a delco bose cd player everything works but sound is only clear from all speakers at very high volume. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Kinda sounds that way. Maybe you have someting else behind the Bose speaker covers?

I think the problem is the Bose speakers/amps require a Bose head unit to run them properly. I believe you would either have to get a Bose stock radio or you would have to run new wires and replace the speakers. Either way... .

The head unit is a bose. I just have one volume very loud. When you turn the volume **** down sound distortes and goes away. Thanks for the help! I am a new corvette owner.

WOW! I need to go back to school and learn how to read . Let me have another crack at it. corvette95 sound right. Did you check the speakers to see if they replaced them with non bose? If they took the original bose out they probably changed the speakers out too.

you don't live in CT by any chance do you? I have my Bose out, if you lived close we could swap it out and see if you have a bad head unit.

No i live in grand rapids mi. I just bought the head unit over the internet. I hooked it up this weekend and it works but as you turn the volume **** the speakers distort and then it all comes in very loud. Its like i have only full blast. Thanks for the offer!
