Your right on! Was the Enkei wheels an option that year?
To my knowledge, there were no optional wheels in 1986 & 1987. The only option was '86 convertibles & Z51 cars had 9 1/2" wheels vs: 8 1/2" for standard cars. In '87 Z51 & Z52 cars had 9 1/2" wheels.

IIRC, Enkei's came on the Z51 cars but I don't think they were a specific wheel option by themselves. My 87 had them on the car when I bought it so maybe they came on Z52 cars too.
Western Wheel was another supplier and from what I remember, the big difference was the amount of material on the inside of the wheel where the center met the rim. Enkei's had less material on that inside edge but were stronger and lighter.
I've been following another thread in the autocross section about springs for autocross. Seems the consensus in that thread is to go with soft springs (FE1) and a big front swaybar and HD shocks. Right now I have the Bilstein Z51-specific shocks and the Z52 30mm solid front bar/poly bushings and still get body roll. Most comments say to stay with a really small (stock) rear bar or even disconnect it.
Right now I'm looking at a ADDCO 32mm front bar. Addco dropped the large tubular front bar so it's hard to find really big bars for the early 84-87 cars. Vette Brakes has the ADDCO 32mm bar and poly bushings for $119 through Monday.

Thanks George,
We have to get together and talk about this. I running out of time and I have to get this beast finished for this years racing. The Enkei's are a nice quality wheel. very light.

Yup, that's the suspension chart I have also. You will notice that from 88 MY onward, they increased the front spring rate significantly. Accordingly, if C4Cruiser has a pre-88 front spring, this may be contributing to his race track roll problem.
