i need someone that knows how 2 put melrose exhaust system in a 96 lt1 corvette stock automatic. i got the headers and exhaust and i also got the gasket that i was told that i needed. so please if yall done this work before can you tell me what else i might need in specific. also if you have a video on the installation that will be great. so any pointers on what to look out for? also for the rear o2 sensor they said i need something if so where can i get it. im in jacksonville fl too so anyone around that cn help would be great
You seem perty inexperienced in wrenching cars....period. If this is true, you might be better off finding a buddy close by that can come over and lend a hand doing this job. It's not terribly difficult by any means, but if your limited in knowledge and tools, by all means find local help.

yes i do and my friend is gonna help me, just trying to see what to look out for. Also...what mufflers should i get with these?? i cant find any videos that have the melrose exhaust and headers with mufflers. the mufflers has to be 2 1/2" so it can be welded

When I did my stainless works headers on the 92 I unbolted all the old exhaust.
IIRC it may or may not be better to unbolt the hangers holding up the existing mufflers.
If you have it on a lift a tall stand is great to help hold things in place. Car on jackstands - a floor jack will help.
IIRC I used the rear springy mount on the exhaust to hold things up.
When I put the headers on and bolted the cats in I just drove it like that the 10 miles to the muffler place to have the rest welded up.
